Adega Açoriana sits at the far eastern end of Pico, near Piedade, which is the part of the island
most visitors never reach. The island narrows and quietens out here, and the drive is the reason
most people skip it.

That is exactly what makes it worth building a day around rather than treating as a lunch option.
The east end is a different Pico from the ferry town: fewer people, older field walls, and long
views back along the coast towards the mountain.
